I get a rush

Bon Jovi es (o, al menos, fue en el pasado) una fiera componiendo canciones. Pero no lo es tanto seleccionando las buenas que entran en el disco. El muy avispado compuso una allá por 1986 que no le gustaba y quiso dejarla fuera del Slippery When Wet. Afortunadamente, el productor le pegó una colleja y le dijo que ni de coña se iba a quedar fuera Livin' On A Prayer.

También dejó fuera del New Jersey una de mis canciones preferidas, Love Is War. Al menos salió como cara B del single Living In Sin (ey, ¿cuántos recuerdan cuando los singles eran de plástico negro y tenían dos caras?), aunque sabe mal que dejaran caer este tema en favor de Stick To Your Guns o Homebound Train.

Hace algunos años sacaron una caja con mogollón de maquetas y temas que habían ido abandonando por el camino. Y sabiendo lo que había ocurrido con Love Is War, Edge of a Broken Heart o la recuperada por Sambora Rosie, me la compré (sí, sí, original y todo). Y me encontré con un temazo llamado I Get A Rush, con una letra preciosa que estuvo a punto de aparecer en algún momento de mi boda. Disfrútenla. Por cierto, no tengo ni idea de dónde han salido las imágenes del video en cuestión.
